SCENIC ART

I have 24 plus years of experience working as both an employee and freelance artist for many of Central Florida’s themeing contractors who do work for all the major theme parks. Any specialty paint finish needed in the scope of theme park design is done by a scenic artist. This includes, but is not limited to, faux finishes such as wood, marble, metal, patina, rust, stone and so on. Scenic art also involves sculping with a variety of materials and then specialty paint finishes to to create fake, but realistic looking stone, vines, trees, logs, moss and an endless array of other imagery and objects used throughout theme parks. I have applied many of the techniques that I’ve learned in the Scenic Art industry into themed interiors of commercial businesses as well.

Faux Finishes

Below are some examples of my faux marble , faux wood grain, faux stone and faux bronze metal that I apply in both commercial and residential projects. I’ve included some in process photos so you can see the steps in achieving realistic wood grain.
